Morning Joy – A Poem by Tom Montag

Morning Joy

The sudden birds
of morning,
then the light

and the distant
line of horizon,
knife-edge

of the world.
The air is keen
with rustling.

I hold this,
I hold all this,
saying Yes.

Enough – A Poem by Tom Montag

Enough

This cold
morning

what
you seek

is what
raven

has.
Nothing

but sun
on his

shoulders.

Morning – A Poem by Tom Montag

Morning

These trees
are fallen

and the sky
fell with them.

A hawk spreads
one wing, then

the other.
Everything

means something,
even this.
