By the Time I Got to Dublin by Carter Vance

Gray River by Patricia Biela

Jazz Kahuna by Max Reif

Process – A Poem by Nate Maye

Process

spinning circle
that tells us
thinking is going on

a wait
sputtering sound
the car is trying
to turn over

just not quite
yet
not quite yet.

Knots – A Poem by Nate Maye

Knots

I tied a knot
in Tuesday
to remind me
of its beauty

I tied a knot
in five years ago
to help me
remember
not to go back

I tied a knot
in our time
to capture
each moment
before it slipped

through the sieve.

Not Much – A Poem by Nate Maye

Not Much

he was told
not much
even as he
washes the canvas
with his art
arranged the words
to spell heaven
they did not see
much
until the painting
was almost done
until the poem
had reached its
last verse.

Tracing – A Poem by Nate Maye

Tracing

I made
an image of you
from stone

I cast away
what did not
look lovely

but was left
with a lack
of satisfaction

in the copy.
