Washing

supermarket underwear
hanging out in the rain

ordinary remnants
of
the unkillable poor

the dead elastic trembles
dt shakes
in
refinery fallout

this
vision
feels
like
a shred of chop
caught in back teeth
and
i
am
a head on a body
a bottled spider
on
the
cement
back
step

About the Poet:
Ford Dagenham likes movies to be well under two hour mark.  He posts a poem or pic a day in the blog Hatchbacks on Fire – hatchbacks on fire . He has a diabetic cat, a well-thumbed copy of The Zombie Survival Guide and believes in reverse-alchemy. Ford has chapbook A Canvey Island of the Mind by Blackheath Books and turns up in PUSH and Paper&Ink and Hand Job zines.  He finds a news embargo is best for balanced living. However he believes in being well informed also. This creates dilemmas. Faced with dilemmas he often runs a bath.
