Invincibility
A poem by Anthony Ward

Invincibility

Imagine there’s a wave closing over you
And you’re lying there completely invulnerable,
It may move you, but it can’t harm you.
Imagine that bliss of being enclosed in water
Without the worry of drowning,
Seeing jellyfish pulsate like nebulae.

Now imagine you’re floating through space,
You can breathe,
Unable to suffocate.
Imagine that bliss of being blanketed in darkness,
Witnessing nebulae pulsate like jellyfish.

Is this death?
The acceptance of it.
When you finally conquer it.
And become invincible.
