Lucky
A poem by Paulette Hampton

Lucky

How lucky am I
To have a mind
Strength and hands
How fortunate am I to have a heart
To be broken again and again
To have the chance
To breathe in and out
And
To be conscious
How lucky am I
To have soul
Apart and part
Of everything
