Since reopening the kitchen in April of 2023, things have been busy here at Poetry Breakfast.

Having only reopened nine months ago, the site has since had over 45,000 views, plus our daily delivery to approximately 2,500 email inboxes.

We reviewed and responded to the submission of roughly 1,500 poems from nearly 350 poets.

Poetry Breakfast nominated 6 poems for the Pushcart Prize and 6 poems for Best of the Net this year.

Between April 24th and December 29th, 2023, we published 180 poems from over 120 poets from around the world – including poets from: Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, India, Iran, Ireland, Kenya, Scotland, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, and more.

Our readership came from over 115 countries with the top 10 highest readership coming from (in order of number of views) 1. USA 2.UK 3. Canada 4. India 5. Ireland 6. Australia 7. Germany 8. Israel 9. Philippines 10. France.

Submissions are accepted year-round. As of today, we are filling in the few last spots for March 2024. Once that’s full, we will start filling in April’s menu.
