Lupus lives in my heart and brain
A poem by Fhen M.

Lupus lives in my heart and brain

Like our domesticated dog,
she knows the places to play,
and the places forbidden to stay

Lupus and Crux, the deacons of Libra
like eyes of Justice under a scale
balances passion and the higher self

it’s not easy to tame the shrew
(who said it is?)
she throws a stool, breaks a glass window
𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭, some men say

but this I know,
I don’t have to slay the beast
one just needs to tame the animal

the primordial one
that saved the heart from breaking.
